Cyber Swadhinata Programme is an online awareness generation programme on Cyber Incident Detection for state government officials. This programme is organized by the Cyber Security Centre of Excellence (CS-CoE), under the aegis of the Department of Information Technology & Electronics, Government of West Bengal. With increasing use of e-Office and other e-governance initiatives, it is imperative that State Government employees are given training on Cyber Security to safe-keep government information and public data.
Considering the current pandemic situation and the consequences the Cyber Security Centre of Excellence (CS-CoE) in collaboration with Praxis Business School offered a professional "Cyber Security" course to Government Employees. The overall duration of the course is 20 Hrs. and it will cover Networking Protocols, Endpoint Security, Application Security, Database Security, Wireless Security and Controls of ISO 27001. At the end of the course, the participants would be issued with a joint certificate from Cyber Security Centre of Excellence (CS-CoE) and Praxis Business School.
The first batch of the Online Cyber Swadhinata (Training) Programme has witnessed successful passing out of 104 (One hundred and four) officials, professionals and technical resources associated with the State Government. It is pertinent to mention that 204 had joined the programme but 104 passed the training-ending online assessment test leading to receipt of Certificate.
The 2nd and 3rd batch of the Online Cyber Swadhinata Programme was also witnessed successful passing out of 89 officials of the State Government.
