The main objective of establishment of Cyber Security Centre of Excellence (CS-CoE) under the aegis of the Department of Information Technology and Electronics, Government of West Bengal was to generate awareness on Cyber Security amongst citizens of the state through various awareness generation and capacity building programmes.
Every year October is observed as the National Cyber Security Awareness Month (NCSAM) globally. To ensure every citizen has the resources they need to stay safe and more secure in online, CS-CoE also planned to undertake various activities throughout the month of October 2023. IQAC & Career Counselling Cell, Malda College has organised a day-long workshop on
Cyber Security & Cyber Hygiene Practices on 06.10.2023 at Durgakinkar Sadan auditorium. More than 1200 students joined the workshop.
Indian Oil Corporation, Eastern Region Pipelines, Kolkata, has organised a session on Cyber Security Hygiene on 06.10.2023. Our representative Shri Subhendu Chakraborty hosted the session. 40 officials from Eastern Region Pipelines attended the session in hybrid mode.

As a part of NCSAM October 2023 Celebration, Cyber Security Congress 2023 was organized jointly by Infosec Foundation and Cyber Security Centre of Excellence(CS-CoE) with the help of WBEIDCL on 13th of October 2023.
Distributed Cyber Security Awareness materials at City Center I- Salt Lake and City Center II- Rajarhat on 17th of October 2023 for spreading awareness among the common citizen on Cyber Security and Cyber Crime.
Workshop on Cyber hygiene and security has been conducted by Cyber Security Centre of Excellence(CS-CoE) on 17th of October 2023 at Geological Survey of India, Eastern Region, Kolkata for Celebrating Cyber Awareness Month (NCSAM 2023)and Vigilance Awareness Week, 2023.
As a part of NCSAM October 2023 Celebration, Cyber Security awareness quiz at Beleghata Puja Pandal had been conducted by CS-CoE representative on 23rd October 2023 during Durga Puja . Senior citizens as well as young people enjoyed a lot.
As a part of Celebrating Cyber Security Awareness-Month 2023, CS-CoE spread awareness during the Durga puja(20th-24th October 2023) by putting banner in various puja pandals all-over the Kolkata and districts as well in collaboration with "Forum For Dugatsab" A Mobile Van from E-waste Division from Webel traveled and distributed awareness material of CS-CoE during the Durga Puja across Kolkata along with their own distribution and circulation.
As a part of NCSAM celebration, CS-CoE delivered a cyber awareness session, that has been held at Anwesha, Bagha Jatin, Kolkata, on 30.10.2023.Anwesha is an organization of parents and well wishers of children and persons with hearing impairment.
CS-CoE was celebrating NCSAM 2023 at district as well, Rangiar Pota Swadhin Sangha, Nadia celebrated NCSAM 2023 by conducting Quiz and Distributed awareness material at their Kogagori Laxmi Puja on 30th October 2023.
Our NCSAM 2023 celebration concluded on the last day of the month (31.10.2023) with an awareness rally Called "CYBER WALK" containing various contests and awards. Rally has been conducted in collaboration with ISOAH (Indian School of Anti Hacking). Various College and University Students, MoU Partners of CS-CoE, NASSCOM, WBEIDCL, Dept of IT & E, GoWB, etc. were participated in this said rally.
